Stategic Writing and Media Relations News Release
A mock news release I wrote as if I were the public information officer at ODOT.
In my Strategic Writing and Media Relations course, I rigorously practiced the art of news release. I am now comfortable and confident in my ability to write a no more than one-page release, using the inverted pyramid method for order of information. I also understand the importance of completing a news release before a deadline, as they address time-sensitive subjects. This particular release is a mock release for the Oregon Department of Transportation.
