Strategic Writing and Media Relations Final Project

A final project with written materials for my chosen entity, Save the Urban Farm.

In my media relations course, we took all of the content from the course of the term to create one final project for an entity of our choice. The components of the project included a summary of the entity including the call to action, a media communications brief, a story pitch to a journalist and a press release. The entity I used for my project was Save the Urban Farm, a group fighting the plans to replace a portion of the UO’s Urban Farm with a staging area for the next phase of construction for the Phil and Penny Knight campus. With this project, I utilized multiple forms of PR communication techniques within a certain timeframe, just as one would have to do in the PR industry.
